Ugh, Writers Block...

I have the idea for a really good blog entry.  It came to me easily this weekend.  However, now that it's time to write about it in detail, I can't get anything down.  I've written, erased, and re-written over, and over again for longer than I'm willing to admit!  I'm going to go ahead and give up, and get some sleep, but I'm wondering, what do you do to solve your writers block?  I would absolutely LOVE to hear any and all suggestions!  Thank you, and check back later today to see if I can conquer this block and write this post!

I mostly pray. And keep writing. 'Cos sometimes that's literally all I can do!

Oh, writer's block is the worst. I find that reading a lot helps me get ideas. The Five Minute Friday challenge over at Gypsy Mama every week helps me, too.

Exactly what you've done in stepping away. When the ideas seem to jumble together then you need space to gain greater clarity and purpose in the writing. Keep a little notebook of ideas of topics you'd like to write on. Consistently work on expanding on those, yet doing so without writing the full piece. Though frequency of writing is important in the blog realm, so is making sure you're putting out quality pieces of writing. So yes, step away, pray, and revisit on a well rested mind. (Being well rested is also vital to quality writing). Best of luck getting that block out! Looking forward to what I'm certain will be a wonderful product of the process being posted soon. :)
