The Art of Housewifery: Copy Cat Recipes & Recipe Share

Have you guys ever heard of copy cat recipes?  I stumbled across these wonderful recipes nearly two years ago when I was searching for a recipe similar to the five cheese ziti al forno served at Olive Garden.  I was amazed to find a recipe that was pretty similar, and delicious, as well as copy cat recipes for Olive Gardens black tie mousse cake, and their salad recipe!  Having this knowledge is awesome, because you can have yummy restaurant food, at home, for a lower price, and you can adapt the recipes, and you know exactly what's in them.

Here is a digital cookbook (someone else created this, not me!) that has a lot of great copy cat recipes!  If you get a spare moment, feel free to check it out.  I promise you'll find something of interest.

Today I'm also going to host my very first linky post!  I want anyone who reads to link up one of their favorite recipes.  I cannot wait to see what recipes get posted!  I'll also pick my very favorite recipe and highlight it in a post next Tuesday!  You may link as many recipes as you would like!

I'm also working on making some handy kitchen printables, so stay tuned for that!  I think there will only be one or two more posts for the cooking part of this series, and like always if you have a question about anything kitchen related, feel free to leave a comment, or send me an e-mail and I'll get it answered for you!

I love copy cat recipes! I once found a great one for Carabba's Lentil and Sausage soup and another for the Red Lobster cheddar biscuits.

I'm so glad you mentioned that site. There was one about 7 years ago that was similar and then I forgot it. I was just looking for it the other day and couldn't find it!
